The merino sport shirt is a great choice for the spring/summer time, especially when the weather is still fluctuating between sunshine one moment and wind and rain the next.
The reason is that unlike ordinary t-shirts and polos that are usually made using cotton, merino is temperature regulating - so that it’ll keep you warm when the wind and rain hit suddenly but you also wouldn’t overheat when the sun comes back out again.
In addition, merino is moisture-wicking, meaning that it will dissipate sweat and odours more easily, preventing that clingy, clammy feeling you sometimes get with cotton t-shirts when they get wet or when you sweat.
It’s also designed with a slightly longer short sleeve for a more modest, flattering look.
Our merino sport shirt is made in Scotland using the world’s finest merino yarn from Italian heritage mill Zegna Baruffa. It’s renowned for a smooth, light and soft texture.
Today we’ll focus on the brown colour and talk through some of the clothes and other colours that it would go well with.
The brown colour of our merino sport shirt is dark and muted, making it versatile. It goes well with a simple pair of medium wash jeans, or shorts.
It goes particularly with white and cream, as can be seen in this outfit where we have paired it with a pair of white jeans:
Of course, this is just to indicate the brown goes well with white/cream, so another item (such as jacket) in a white/cream colour would also work.
Because the brown is dark, it also makes it easier to match with other shades of brown that are lighter, such as this outfit here with the brown leather jacket:
The brown also works well with olive, so if you have any trousers, chinos, jackets or overshirt in that item, that too will go well with the merino sport shirt in brown:
To illustrate that the brown goes well with beige too, we’ve finished the look with a trench coat, but again, you can be wearing bottoms in beige or other light jacket in beige/tan and it would work just as well.
