As we approach the end of the year, festivities are in full swing and we’re busier than ever wrapping up all our loose ends in preparation for family visits and breaks with loved ones. At this time of year, we can’t think of anything that could beat being wrapped up in a thick, cosy piece of knitwear, enveloped in softness and comfort. We talk often at Colhay’s about our slimmer fit designs that lend themselves well to formal occasions where you want to look sharp and put together, but there’s another side to knitwear that we consider equally important, the comforting and relaxing side. Here in the UK, autumn is in full swing with both the leaves and the temperatures slowly but surely falling. With this change in season, comes a necessary change in our dressing habits with the warmer weather outfits taking centre stage. However, even in late September, the milder autumnal climate means we’re not quite ready to bring out the bigger pieces just yet. Instead, we’re all seeking garments that strike the delicate, and often tricky to find, balance of not too hot and not too...
New for Autumn/Winter 2024: Charcoal Grey Shawl Collar Cardigan Easy to style, comfortable to wear, and universally flattering, our superfine lambswool shawl collar cardigan is an ever popular style. This year we’re adding a new colourway to our collection: charcoal grey. It’s the same cosy cardigan we love to wrap up in in the cooler months, simply in an even more winter appropriate shade compared to our older grey melange colour. The charcoal would go particularly well with other grey toned clothing, as well as black and white, allowing you to achieve that paired back, minimal look, whilst exuding a good dose of masculinity on account of the darker charcoal melange and the hefty, rib-stitch texture of the shawl collar...
Our Cashmere Belmondo Rollneck is inspired by the iconic garment donned by actors of the French New Wave who, along with their cinematic style, dressed to rebel and to impress. Knitted in Scotland using a luxurious 2-ply cashmere, it is designed with a tall rollneck and slim silhouette. Read more about our design here.
