Superfine Lambswool Shawl Coat
This coat is a slightly longer version of the above cardigan that finishes around the mid-thigh. Warm and cosy, it’s a delight to wrap yourself up in. This is the perfect Christmas-at-home garment, particularly if you’re spending the holidays relaxing in a country home. Not restricted to solely loungewear, it’s great for keeping the chill at bay on a Boxing Day walk too.

This piece is another of our cold weather staples. Easy to style and extremely warm, it’s perfect for the winter months. A rollneck is a universally flattering feature on both men and women, making this sweater particularly well-suited to gifting. Cashmere Wool Chalet Cable Sweater
Inspired by the knitwear worn by skiers in the mid-century, this is an especially wintery piece. The sweater features a traditional cable pattern which can sometimes look a little busy and jarring on the eye. Whilst the pattern we have designed is intricate, we have chosen a singular muted colour, resulting in a sophisticated, classic and understated piece. In keeping with the original resort wear, the sweater is knitted in a thick cashmere wool blend that is both substantial and soft to the touch. This is another smart casual option that works well with jeans, chinos and corduroys.

Superfine Lambswool Fisherman Cable Rollneck
This piece is a second cable knit option and comes with either a crew neck or a rollneck. As mentioned previously, the rollneck is a flattering feature on almost all body types, making it a great option for a Christmas gift. This sweater is knitted in a 6-ply superfine lambswool, but this is not lambswool as you know it. It’s astonishingly soft to the touch rather than the coarse and itchy lambswool that’s often found on the high street. For this piece, we took inspiration from sweaters knitted for fishermen by their wives and in homage to these sweaters, we have opted for a pronounced cable pattern. It’s an elegant pattern and is uniform all over the sweater, so, again, it won’t make you stand out from the crowd.

Accessories
Just like our knitwear, our woven homeware and accessories are made in Scotland in a factory renowned in the industry for its supreme levels of quality. Cashmere is known across the globe for its softness, but the fibres have, in recent years, been overproduced and a lot of cashmere we see on the market is of a low quality. At Colhay’s, we use the finest cashmere yarns, created from fibres that are long and thin, which means that our pieces are both soft and durable at the same, as well as being far less likely to pill.

Woven Cashmere Scarf
These buttery soft scarves are a joy to wrap up in, perfect for walking outdoors in the cold weather or for simply adding a stylish finishing touch to your outfit. They’re available in cognac, espresso brown and oatmeal - each shade is easy to style and has been chosen to compliment our sweaters and cardigans, as well as other items you’re likely to own already. The scarf is woven using traditional heritage methods and finished with Italian teasels, a technique involving brushing the scarf’s surface to give a rippled effect and a luxurious, glossy yet muted sheen. This particular technique is not often seen today, but at Colhay’s we are keen to reestablish techniques that have been abandoned by the majority of producers but result in a superior product.

Woven Double-Faced Cashmere Blanket
Again, with our cashmere blanket, seldom used traditional techniques are employed to create a supremely luxurious piece of homeware. Two colourways are available: navy with saddle brown and oatmeal with fawn. The blanket is woven in such a way that allows a predominant colour on either side showing hints of colour from the opposite side. It’s a large blanket, perfect for throwing over beds or soft-furnishings and adding a stylish accent to a room.
